BA.

Ba Restaurant, a project that reflects Liu family’s idea of a contemporary Chinese restaurant: dark walls in raw concrete, stone tables, large social table in burnt cedar wood, derived from an ancient Japanese technique, the Shou sugi ban. A mise en place reduced to the minimum, a tribute to the Chinese tradition that does not include the use of tablecloths. The color palette is interrupted only by the large red chandeliers from Jacopo Foggini, shaped between a sea anemone and a Chinese lantern, which seem to float above the dining room, and by the metal surfaces of the large open kitchen. The result is an essential environment that refuses to slip into austerity, certainly subtle and peharps masculine, capable at the right moment of transforming itself into a scenographic stage for courses that seduce the eye even before the palate.
